Per the Pariyatti website:

William Hart was one of the first assistant teachers appointed by S.N. Goenka. His book, "The Art of Living: Vipassana Meditation as Taught by S. N. Goenka", has become a definitive work in its field, translated into approximately 25 languages. Born in Canada, Mr. Hart has lived for extended periods in Israel, Japan and India. He continues to work as a professional editor, and also still writes about Vipassana.

Author the book The Art of Living. Notably, he is directly quoted as saying:

My name is on the cover of the book, so people call me the author. But, really, the author is [S. N. Goenka].

This is a humble half-truth. The book is a presentation of Vipassana meditation as taught by S. N. Goenka, including ample direct quotation from Goenka's own discourses. In between these discourses, Hart writes in substance about The Buddha, Buddhism, and Vipassana.
